It's only been a week or two since we have told people our BIG news of us adopting our first child from Uganda! It seems like a daily struggle I have with worrying about how we are going to come up with money to bring our baby home and each day God reminds me to give it to Him and that He will take care of us and provide! I have to remember that we cannot do it but God can! Ephesians 3:20!
We are so thankful for the recent donations we have received! We have received enough this week to help us finish paying our home study off! You all will never know how much that means to us! We truly cannot do this without your help and prayers! Thank you so much for supporting us financially! Every dollar coming in helps! Every time we get a new donation in we get so excited and its not that we are excited about how much because we dont even see that, the money goes to Cari our friend who is an accountant and she deposits it for us and only tells us who donated, not how much! We get excited more about the donation itself and the person sending it because we know with each donation we are ONE step closer to bringing our child home and we feel so blessed finding out who donated and praying for them and thanking them! It truly brightens our day...so thank you so much!
An old school friend of mine who is in theology school getting his second masters degree found out we were adopting and bought his two favorite adoption books and sent them to us right away. We are so grateful for his thoughtfulness and gift to us!
Also last week two people from church came up to me and told me ideas they had for us for fundraisers to help us raise money up for our adoption! It touched our hearts that they thought of us and thought of helping us! It meant so much!
We are so encouraged and thankful for the 15 people that took candle brochures for us to their works, churches etc...to help us sell candles! One friend who is a nurse at OSU has sold a candle to it seems like everyone she works with. She is telling our story and people are responding and it means so much to us! A co-worker of hers that doesn't even know us just gave a donation to us! How awesome is that! God is so good and provides!
Things like this brighten our days and encourage us on this long journey of bringing our child home! Everyday we get more excited thinking about all we will do with her and all the wonderful changes that will come! You would think we would be good at waiting by now with four years of trying to conceive and four miscarriages but its still really hard and every day we just have to give it to the Lord and trust Him and keep following Him knowing He truly knows best and has plans for us! ( Jeremiah 29:11) I look forward to watching as God unfolds His plans for us and directs our every step. We don't know where He'll lead us next we are just grateful He is leading us! I just know He has been changing us more than ever this past year, opening our eyes up more, challenging us and I pray it continues...I don't want to go back to the way we use to be...i pray our hearts will continue to break for what breaks His!
Thank you all SO MUCH for your prayers, support, encouragement, donations, friendship, love...the list could go on and on! We are so grateful for these and especially at this time as we try and bring our little girl home! We love you all!
p.s. I'm not blogging too much right now about what is happening with Uganda adoptions as we are still waiting! However, if you would like to know more about what is happening or how you can pray, just email me! Contact info is one of the links up top! Please be praying hard for wisdom, clarity and hearts to be softened concerning all parties involved in the Uganda adoptions. We are praying, seeking the Lord and asking Him to crush these mountains for us! Please pray along with us that soon, very soon we would hear good news about the issue being resolved, which would make adoptions from Uganda even smoother!
Love to all,
