Isaac's first zoo trip!

We went to the Columbus zoo today for Father's day. It was also Isaac's first time to the zoo. Fun fact about Columbus zoo, it's rated the #1 zoo in america. Anyways, we had a blast celebrating my husband's first father's day. Last year Isaac was actually born on father's day and tomorrow is his FIRST birthday! Our baby is growing up so fast. He was so much fun today and made so many adorable noises and words that we could not understand as we walked through the zoo. We saw flamingos, lions, polar bears, grizzly bears, penguins, elephants, kangaroos, tigers, leopards and so much more. The zoo almost felt like a big theme park, there were train rides, boat rides, little coasters and play areas and they also have a water park that we didn't go to today. Here are some of the pictures from our day. Hope you enjoy them!

Also it was Jim's first father's day and we celebrated it a little last night, today and he has a gift still coming to him in the mail but I already told him what it was (Third Day's new cd). I had this GREAT idea of doing something to honor Jim today because of him being a father not only to Isaac but all 6 of our children. I went and got 6 balloons along with a decorated one that said happy fathers day. I got one blue, one pink and 4 yellow. The meaning behind the balloons is this....the blue represented Isaac, the pink Annabelle and the 4 yellow representing our other four we lost through miscarriage. I picked yellow for them since we didn't know their gender and they are with Jesus surrounded by his light and that made me think of yellow. I decided to write all their names on each of the balloons and I put a little message on Annabelle's and was about to write Isaac's message on his and trace his hand on his blue balloon when POP...Isaac scrunched his fingers up and popped his balloon...so we had daddy come down and see the balloons minus the blue one but thankfully the one that popped represented the little one who is with us so it all worked out. NOTE TO SELF...next time do not try and trace a hand print on a balloon! ;0) I just wanted to remember all of our children and have my husband be honored for being the daddy of all of them! Here's a pic minus the blue balloon ;0)

Isaac also got an early birthday present from mamaw & papaw because they will be gone for his party and he just loves it. We took a few pictures of him playing on it yesterday and also at our church's fun in the sun festival while he was in a bounce house and then at silvercreek lake park we went to yesterday for my dad's fathers day!
