Isaac's first night at a hotel!

Jim had jury duty again this month (he has it for the next year or so because its grand federal jury duty) and this month since it was right before Christmas we knew the mall connected to the Ritz Carlton and the hotel itself would be decorated for Christmas so we wanted to bring Isaac. It was his first hotel stay and first of many things including riding an escalator and going on elevator's (he might have done that before but was old enough to enjoy it this time and push the buttons)! We walked in to a beautiful BIG gingerbread house decorated with fondant characters all around it and one of the most gorgeous christmas trees i've ever seen! Isaac tickled the tree haha! As Jim was checking us in, one of the ladies there brought out a big wagon full of toys and Isaac got to pick a toy out of it, which he thought was so cool. He picked this...

We then went up to our room, as Isaac walked in to his first hotel room we wondered what he would think of it. Well, he was in love. He had the biggest smile on his face and checked everything out. He LOVED the big window overlooking the city. He kept pointing to different things. He also found the phone so we unplugged it so he could play with it and he kept talking into it!

Chasing daddy down the hall. The first time we were in the hall, I said "shush" with my finger over my lip and how we had to use our whisper voices. The next time we were in the hallway, he remembered from before and turned back to me as he was walking and put his finger to his lips and said "shush" to me...haha it totally cracked me up!

Then we went and walked around the mall that is connected for a bit. Isaac LOVED running all around the different levels and then he got to try out an escalator for the first time and well, the pictures show you exactly how he felt...he LOVED it!

Daddy taught Isaac how to move his mouth up and down like a piranha and when they do it together, Isaac always leans in and does his piranha against daddy's lips and gives him kisses...ADORABLE!

Next we came back and got ready and went swimming. Isaac is a little fish and LOVES water and loves to kick his little legs.

The rest of the night we walked around the mall again and then played in our room with Isaac and gave him a bath with his new toy the hotel gave him. He stayed up until 11:30, the latest ever for him! We thought it was ok since it was his first night in a hotel. He slept between us on the king bed, which we loved. He fell asleep in my arms and woke up by daddy!

He let mommy rub lotion all over and give him a massage. He was so calm and adorable as I massaged his limbs!

All in all we had a great time with him. Unfortunately I got sick again that night and I got pretty bad again today during the day while we were there. I am really hoping I am fully over the stomach bug now. I had a blast with my two boys! We are thankful to be able to do this and spend this time together as a family. We are so blessed! Now we are preparing for Christmas and all our MANY family get-togethers! What a joyous time of the year, so much to thank God for and think about!
