Isaac had his 18 month check-up today and it went so well. While waiting for the doc to come in, he colored on the crinkle paper on the table they have you sit on and he loved it. He was so fascinated by the doctor's tools to check him out so he handled it really well. He even leaned over and gave me a kiss on the cheek at one point and the doc thought it was so sweet. After the doc watched him, and asked me all the questions and heard all Isaac knows and is doing, the doc was so happy and amazed at how much Isaac knows and is doing. Doc said he is way ahead in everything. Isaac weighed 24.9 at the docs but at home he weighs 25 so i'll just say 25 lbs. He measured 33 1/2 inches at the doc's office so it puts him at around 30th percentile for weight I think and 80th percentile for height. So he is still tall and skinny! They were amazed at all the words he already knows and how he loves to eat so healthy and a variety of things. Doc said most kids are not ready for potty training until close to 3, which is funny since I remember my parents saying when they and their friends were potty training us, it was much younger. Wonder why the trend now a days is to wait longer? The doc said when he consistently wakes up with a dry diaper, he will be ready. Although, part of me wants to and will probably start much sooner than 3 years, in trying to potty train him! They gave us a chart that shows what he will start to learn from now until 24 months and I was so excited because he already does all but one of the things that they had written down so needless to say I am one proud momma this morning and I cannot take any credit for it because Isaac truly makes it so easy. Love my baby boy so much!
