Two cool things to check out while we are waiting...

As you all know Jim and I have been taking the past week and will continue to do so for another week or so and are praying very hard for wisdom about what to do concerning our adoption!  If you did not read it the first time and would like to know what I'm talking about, please go here... Praying for wisdom .

Nothing has happened yet in Uganda and so in the meantime while we are praying we are looking into agencies here in the states that need families to adopt african american babies, in case this is where God leads us.  There is such a great need that one agency told us that it is VERY LIKELY that we would get matched with a birthmother within days to weeks of our homestudy being done.  Our homestudy is done by the way BUT if we switch to domestic we will have to convert the international homestudy to domestic.  On average the cost is around the same to adopt domestically as it is for us to adopt from Uganda.  However there are grants and programs for families adopting minority children that could help us also.  If God led us to adopt our first domestically, we would need the money much faster since they require a lot of it up front and because more than likely we would get matched so quickly.  So we would have to look into possible adoption loans where they give us the money now knowing when we get the adoption tax credit refund back we would pay it off.

We are not worrying about any of this because we know God knows where Isabella will come from and thats all that matters!  We are praying for wisdom and for Him to open the doors to what He wants us to do and close the rest for now and to make it clear to us!  I will be happy if He calls us to stay with adopting from Uganda and I will be happy if He calls us to adopt our first domestically here in the states!  They are all His children and EVERYTHING is His and so whenever and wherever He chooses to entrust us with a child, we will be grateful and ready!

In the meantime, not much adoption news to update you on but I do have a few cool things for you to check out...first is Seeds Family Worship !  Angie Smith (Todd from the group Selah, is her husband) wrote on her blog about this new AWESOME kids worship CD that not only kids will love but so will parents!  This company has taken scripture and made songs out of it for the whole family to listen to and memorize the songs and while doing it they will be memorizing God's word!  The music is not the annoying little kid music we are use to either, its actually quite catchy and fun for the whole family including the parents!  What is even cooler is they give you an extra CD when you buy it so you can give one to someone else to share it with them!

It's the perfect way to sing, dance, and make a joyful noise unto the Lord, while planting His Word forever in your heart and your kids.  It's a Scripture-memory tool -- It's a CD full of fabulous music. They have several CDs in various themes of scripture such as Seeds of Courage, seeds faith, seeds of purpose, seeds of praise and power of encouragement!
