26 weeks and counting!

How exciting! Sunday we will be 26 weeks! A very cool statistic about 26 weeks is that 80% of babies born at 26 weeks survive! We also have our next ultrasound Monday and Jim has that day off work so he gets to come to it with us, which makes me VERY excited! I have gotten to see Micaiah so much on ultrasound and Jim has only gotten to see him a few times so I am pumped about him coming! I realized many things today so I decided to make a countdown chart or goal...

Get ready for baby Micaiah countdown:

Two weeks until THIRD TRIMESTER!

10 weeks until the earliest time we will do scheduled c-section.

13 weeks until the latest time we will do scheduled c-section.

Going to do a 10 week countdown incase baby Micaiah comes at week 36!

WEEK ONE: Dust curtains, fire place, walls, ceiling fans in DR, LR & kitchen. Put away Christmas stuff.

WEEK TWO: Operation Nursery starts for the next FOUR weeks. Clean out all clutter, organize and put into storage/attic etc everything in the spare bedroom. Make sure it’s completely empty.

WEEK THREE: Buy primer and paint. Prime and paint the walls. Get dresser from Michelle and paint.

WEEK FOUR: Put together all baby furniture including crib, swing, bouncer, bassinet, pack n play, chair, dresser, changing table and diaper cube. Wash all materials that have been sitting out in garage.

WEEK FIVE: Put all decorations, bedding and things I have ordered or made, up and finish nursery and clean the rocking chair really well if we haven’t already. Make it ready for Micaiah to come home!

WEEK SIX: Have baby shower sometime these next 3-4 weeks in February that mom & monica said they wanted to have for us! Get newborn through six months out from our stash and the clothes we store at grammi’s and see what will fit season/size wise for Micaiah and organize, wash, fold and put away. Think about what gift/package we want to put together for baby Micaiah to “give” to Big brother Isaac at the hospital! Start thinking of ways/things to do or say to help Isaac not feel left out!

WEEK SEVEN: Cook at least 5 meals to freeze and put away this week for after baby comes! Try to do more if possible.

WEEK EIGHT: Look into seeing if carpet is a possibility budget wise and if not, look for a nice rug for nursery.

WEEK NINE: Deep clean house as much as possible to get ready for baby boy coming home! Think about what things need to have downstairs and upstairs to make things run smoother at home.

WEEK TEN: Make list of items we didn’t get at baby shower but still need before baby comes and get them before scheduled c-section! Pack hospital bag with mommy & baby stuff and have Isaac’s big brother present ready. Sit back, relax, enjoy this last 1-4 weeks feeling Micaiah move around and grow in my belly!  Spend some extra time with Isaac too! Start trying to talk and prepare him for baby brother coming home!

That's my list for now...to at least give me a starting point! :) So excited!
