Brown Bear book/craft time with free printables!!!

We had a blast this morning with one of Isaac's favorite books, Brown Bear Brown Bear! He knows it by heart and loves to read it to us. I found some great free printables off of Pinterest and other homeschooling sites. One of them that I got some of the stuff off of was Lap Books by Carisa. All the activities and crafts we did this morning helped bring the book alive and he loved it. We first made stick puppets (thanks to Mamaw for the craft sticks) and read the story and used them. Then he matched the animal bodies up that were cut in half. Then Isaac sorted the brown bear from largest to smallest. The last two things we did were counting the different animals and saying the number of them on one of the sheets and then there was a sequence sheet where Isaac would say the next animal in the sequence! I myself had a blast with him and this makes me look forward even more to officially starting homeschool next year but while we are waiting, we are going to do a lot of preschool stuff to have fun and help get us both ready for next year!!! (forgive picture quality, our camera is broken so these were taken with my phone) Here is my school/crafts Pinterest link incase you would like to find some more ideas for your little one! Pinterest

Here he is putting glue on the stick to make the stick puppet!
